A Fairly Labored Metaphor

The cruiser was there quickly, the siren coming:

a dim blue light comes on over crackly shellac,

closed the doors and revved the engine. I turned

a guy with me. But just one guy, taking turns

on that the most. Within weeks of his return he'd

growled and steadied itself on the spacecraft

and saw at least a ten dollar tip. When he rang

who threw the kid in jail to scare him

I have no idea how many miles we covered

but that night most of the regulars

didn't try to pursue. He hissed and stomped

who had lately become famous for renouncing crime

that he thought was neither good nor bad.
