Against the Destructive Influence

My teacher is still talking; there is a bug in her

that’s just a taste of the kinds of acceptances we saw

set up in the media. There has been some movement

across the room, where the bathroom door hangs

reserved for someone else. And yet, I’ve been in a

lecture. She tries her best to ignore the blue tarp

of war, colonization, and forced displacement that

might just be the tip of the iceberg. You don't know

that Mommy stayed with Daddy because he was

the historic sight in an overcoat and scarf

when you don’t look in mirrors anymore. If I

could’ve been running a Fortune 500 company,

I should skedaddle. Looks like someone needs to plan.
