The Point Where Meaning Collapses

They were Scholars, no doubt about that, but they were

a barber shop with a striped pole; we see the Holy Family

and this witch I found, she hadn't been resting above

the curb and they cross the street side by side

to exercise outside during the long polar night.

while bullets flew about him like wasps or flies, doing

something strange about the way the house smelled

but it was the only hope they had. Being mown down

not just because I know who he is, but because I hurt.
